This is a 'never fail' recipe passed down for generations in my family, and I swear by it every time I need my fix

Ingredients:

1½ cups all-purpose flour

1 slightly beaten egg

1½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup milk

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.

On a floured surface, gently knead the dough for a couple of minutes until it's smooth. Roll it to about 1/4-inch thickness and cut into preferred shapes.

Gently drop the shaped dough into simmering stews or soups, ensuring they're covered. Seal the pot and cook the dumplings for 15-20 minutes till they're airy and light.

Dish them out hot atop your chosen stew or soup. Revel in the comforting taste that's sure to win over all palates.
