1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda (dissolved in 2 teaspoons hot water)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
Preparation: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Butter Mixture: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Eggs & Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Baking Soda & Dry Ingredients: Dissolve the baking soda in hot water and add it to the batter along with the salt. Gradually mix in the flour until just combined.
Chocolate Chips & Walnuts: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
Shape & Bake: Drop cookie dough by large spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 10 minutes or until the edges turn a beautiful golden brown.
Cool & Serve: Allow the cookies to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
